There are plenty of compelling reasons to opt for a German kitchen. “Choice” is one that makes them better than other makes!

Choices include:

Sustainability

German kitchens prioritize sustainability, using eco-friendly materials without compromising style or durability. With an array of customizable options available, you can tailor every detail to suit your taste and lifestyle perfectly.

Let’s not forget about their reputation for longevity; investing in a German kitchen means investing in something built to last.

Therefore when you decide to change it, you can sell it to be reused by someone else so it won’t end up in landfill.

Frankfurt kitchen

The Frankfurt Kitchen, designed in 1926 by Austrian architect Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky, is considered a pioneering model for modern kitchen design. It was part of a social housing project in Frankfurt and aimed to improve efficiency and functionality in small urban apartments.

Inspired by the principles of Taylor-ism and scientific management, the compact kitchen featured built-in cabinets, standardized dimensions, and ergonomic design. This minimizes the effort and time spent on household tasks.

Its innovative approach revolutionized kitchen layouts and influenced modern kitchen designs worldwide.

We love kitchen islands

A stylish kitchen featuring an island equipped with a hob that cleverly serves as a dining table. On the left, you’ll find a chic bar cart alongside a contemporary sideboard, both of which complement this stunning collection perfectly. This space seamlessly blends functionality and modern design, making it ideal for culinary adventures or entertaining guests.

Oooh, a mirrored island!

This island features breathtaking mirrored doors on the back. It’s an ingenious design that captures and reflects light beautifully, enhancing the ambiance of the room. The kitchen island mirrors create a sense of depth, making the entire space appear more elegant and sophisticated. A remarkable addition that elevates both style and functionality — very nice indeed!

Look, no plinth

For the island, the cabinets on the back extend all the way to the floor without a plinth. They have a push-to-open system, so they don’t look like separate kitchen doors.

Hidden kitchens

If you prefer, you can hideaway your kitchen with pocket doors. The back wall is a working kitchen [1], but when guests visit you can make it all disappear [2].

Clever storage

Pull-out systems and drawer units offer smart storage solutions, with flexible internal inserts to keep everything organized. These systems can hold everything from pots, pans, and plates to knives, cups, and cutlery. Available in various sizes, they include pull-out shelves, internal drawers, larders, and even bottle storage.

The doors

The door finishes not only come in a wide array of colours but also different materials, from laminate, lacquer, glass and even ceramic. This kitchen shows a black ceramic door. This finish is also used for wall cladding. Note the built in lighting set into the open shelves, which contrast the black with a wood grain.

Traditional

While much of what you see here showcases contemporary designs, German kitchens offer a wide range of traditional styles too. Take, for example, this beautiful white kitchen. It combines elegance and functionality with a breakfast bar featuring a hob above convenient pull-out storage drawers. The L-shaped wall units house a built-in oven and sink, while full-height units provide ample space for a fridge-freezer. The overall design creates a warm, cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for a welcoming, family-friendly space.

In a nutshell, we use German kitchens because we want to be able to give you the quality you deserve and a design that perfectly suits your needs.
