The new year is fast approaching, 2025 will soon make way for 2026. The new year will bring with it many new and exciting kitchen design trends. From decor to products, advances in technology will be a big part of the new trends. Warm neutral and earthy colours, sustainable materials and creative use of multi-functional spaces will be big too. We’re going to focus on 3 trends for now, with more to follow over the coming weeks.
1 Accessible Integrated Smart Technology
Focus will fall on technology to solve many problems, especially aging in place accessible kitchen design. Now you might be thinking, well, “but I’m not old”. You may not be, but one day you will be older, afterall none of us are getting any younger. Accessible technology isn’t just for the elderly. Its also for people with limited mobility amongst other things. And an accessibility friendly kitchen will also add value to your home. The technology is seamlessly integrated. Smart features are hidden, such as motion-sensor taps, built-in wireless charging points and AI-powered ovens that learn schedules. All coming in 2026!

2 Curvy and soft silhouette
Who doesn’t love a few curves, well 2026 will be all about soft silhouettes and curvy cabinetry. Embrace softer lines in kitchen design and decor with curved edges for worktops and islands alike. The new year will bring less angular styles in the kitchens designed across the UK from Tarporley to Taunton and Crewe to Carlisle!

3 Kitchens that don’t look like kitchens
A bit of an odd one maybe but stay with us. The goal will be to make your kitchen a more integrated part of your home’s living area. It is the hardest working room in your home afterall. This will be achieved by using various of materials, blending appliances to be discreet or concealed and using furniture-like designs for cabinets and islands, instead of your traditional boxy kitchen cabinetry of the past.
